It's rainy season! I need gutters, badly along the edges of the roof to keep these big huge droplets of water from pounding on us when we go in and out. Can a young couple do the job in a day with not too much hassle, or leave it to the pros? The house is not huge either.

Installing gutters is very simple you can get some gutters at home depot just give them your measurements and they will help you to purchase everything you need..I am an Office Manager for a Gutter install company in FL....so of course it would be easier to pay someone to do it for you but its really very simple just ask for hidden hangers to hang them with and put a hanger every 30 inches no further apart than this to avoid drooping. remember measure twice cut once....good luck

It's a little easier than installing gutters on a 2-story house!!!!
However, if you have never installed gutters before, I would leave it to professionals. It's actually not that difficult, but it takes alot of patience and time! If you do decide to go with professionals, shop around for price and product. I would suggest going to Lowe's or Home Depot first and see what they can tell you about different products and installation!! Good Luck

You'll need a couple people. It's pretty easy. I had an estimate for my two story house for the gutters and labor. They wanted $750. I am going to do it myself. Gutters are fairly cheap.

If its a small one story house i dont think it would be very hard. You wont have as far to fall!
I have never installed gutters, but i have repaired them when they have came loose from the house. Its not rocket science.

While installation isn’t difficult, most homeowners hire contractors to install or replace gutters to be sure they work properly–and don’t leak. However, if you want to do it yourself, you can follow these steps here: http://www.proconstructionguide.com/how-to-install-gutters/

I would think so and it is not that expensive to do your self. Make sure the gutters are nailed to solid material and that could take more time.

Its easy. Just buy all the material at Home Depot-have them deliver it to your house. While you are there swing through the parking lot and pick you up 4-5 beaners. Bring them home to do the work for you.
