yes they should still make remotes. if you open back cover and it has little switches you can get a 61Lm by liftmaster. if it doesnt have switches a 81LM or 941Lm will work. craftsman and liftmaster are made by the same company. check this link out

Look around on Ebay. I really doubt if a universal TV style remote would work for that.
Sears isnt what they used to be. At one time they had parts departments in just about every city. You could order whatever you needed. I think they did away with that. You might want to check with your local sears and see if they still do have a parts store in your town.

Before you give up - did you replace the battery in the opener?
Otherwise, check with Sears and if you have an overhead door company in town, check with them.

I will advise you to go to Sears and check the model and ask them if they still have that model you have, if they not you will have to change that door.
