I thought 1 was a prime number. However, I learned from last year's Royal Institute Christmas Lecture that it is no longer regarded as prime, although it used to be.

By definition, a prime number has two UNIQUE divisors: 1 and itself.

1 isn't prime since it doesn't have two unique divisors.

Therefore, the probability is 2/3.

Edit: melius has a point. Your question didn't specify how many sides the die has. I assume you meant a six-sided die?
