If you're thinking about this...try http://toptentubes.com/toptenmoviespeeches. You can watch the top ten and my favourite which isn't actually in it is the fiery Dennis Hopper speech to Christopher Walken in True Romance. Brilliant. And performed so well. Their no 1 is Robart Duval in Platoon...some really good ones.

In the movie A Time to Kill, when Jake Brigance delivers his closing speech. I cry every time I watch the movie. Matthew McConaughey at his best!

Henry Fonda's speech as Tom Joad in The Grapes of Wrath. "Whenever there's a fight so hungry people can eat, I'll be there...". Inspirational.
honorable mention: Spencer Tracy's final speech in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.

Al Pacino in City Hall when he speaks at the slain child's funeral about how New York City was a palace before and can be one again.
Also, the speech in Henry V before they go into a battle where they are greatly outnumbered and Henry tells them that after today they will forever be his most favored.

I think Erin Brockovich when she is in the board room meeting getting the owners of the company causing cancer to understand what is going on. When she brings in the water - that's so funny.
And to think it is a true story too.
