In the Makeup world we say ONCE... But for you normal people I would say no longer than a WEEK MAX!! I really wouldn't try & use a Makeup Sponge too much longer if you are worried about ur skin breaking out... Use your Fingers- Just wash them before and after

Once, then clean it well, dry it out, then safely use it again. Bacteria from your face and hands will live on the makeup sponge, only to be passed back to you if it is not cleaned after each use.
Tyra Banks had a show about the bacteria living in makeup and on the applicators. It's shocking what lives in the makeup and the tools. You should throw away any unused makeup after only a few months or risk illness. Toothbrushes should be replaced every month..

No more than 3 or 4 applications...otherwise you are just spreading dirt and germs back onto your face. You can buy a big bag of disposible make up sponges from your local pharmacy.

Make sure you change or wash the sponge every time you wash it because oils and bacteria from the sponge will cause acne and will reclog your pores.
