Florida outplayed you on the field, but you were beaten before you took the field.....head wasn't in the game, too overconfident and shell shocked in the second half. Winning is 90% mental in playoffs.

THERE IS NEVER A SPEED advantage. Ohio state recruits from all over the nation and are as fast as any other team. Thats why they got to the Championship game.

No one would have beat Florida on that night just like no one would have beat Ohio state in 2003.The speed was not the thing only one gator has broken 4.5 in the 40 yard dash at the combine Who said miami was an SEC team. The refs didnt give Ohio State the game there is video that proves he was foul if i find it i will post it to prove your a dumb a$$

You need to move on. The game is history now. If there is some sort of conspiracy then name it and bring on some proof, but in my book the national championship passed some teams that should have played for the national championship. I think if a college like Boise State plays an undefeated season the record should reflect that they should play a team with th best record. What happen is the teams with the best records did not play for the national championship.

I agree with some aspect of the other answers. Speed wasn't necessarily the issue, it was mental. Troy Smith played lazy. He did not handle the rush well and Ohio State was overconfident. Also, the Buckeye's playcalling was TERRIBLE. The game was a complete embarrassment. I give Florida props though, they closed the deal when it counted most and then some. OHIO STATE TIL I DIE.

Yeah and remember it took what like 3 or 4 OTs to beat Miami. Also remember Miami wasn't exactly an SEC team. They were still more of a Big East team, wasn't that before they even left the Big East? Different styles of play between the SEC and Big East. They were playing more of the Big East style so they would compete better with the Big East.

to answer your question basically what happened was florida completly dominated the entire game. ohio state and the rest of the country thought OSU was gonna come in and kill florida but ohio state was way to over confident. florida is just a better team. THE GAME PROVED THAT OSU WAS OVERRATED THE WHOLE YEAR AND THEY CANT COMPETE WITH A TEAM THAT ACTUALLY HAS MORE THAN 1 CHALLENGE IN THERE SCHEDULE

You all are missing a BIG point. There is no NCAA Football Division I Championship. The BCS championship is not the same as an NCAA playoff (as in Div I-AA, II and III). As long as there isn't a playoff system, you'll have controversy every year.

II will make it easier to understand. The refs gave you the Miami game on that ridiculous pass interference call in overtime. Therefore you should have lost that one too.
