Can always punch a hole in the oil pan, or even the transmission pan. You don't want to make it obvious. A hole in the top of the oil filter will be immediately known by the engine smoking. Hole in the gas tank will emit the smell of gas.
Could also throw salt, sugar, sand, anti-freeze, what not in the oil filler tube. I'm thinking a simple engine flush won't clean that bad boy out very well. Or oil, anti-freeze and other destructive liquid in the gas tank might work also.
You want to do something that won't turn on one of the idiot lights in the dashboard.

Punch a hole in the top of the oil filter. It won't leak until the car is started up, then the oil goes everywhere. If they don't notice it right away the motor will start smoking and could eventually lock up.
Now something that I have done (back when I was in HS) I removed the centers out of the valve stems in the tires. Makes them flat, and if they don't put the centers back in, they can't be inflated again.

Moth Balls or waffle syrup in the fuel tank -remove the oil plug - I heard to put a bar of chocolate on the engine - remove the plug from the radiator - remove the oil filter - all of these were done to me on separate occasions by 2 ex stalkers - what a night mare for me and my girls - it all got back at them. Karma prevails

Drain all the oil out. It can't run for long then! That's how I 'wrecked' my first car!

drain out the oil from underneath. It's not the cleanest thing in the world, but it'd do it.
