The best situation is if you can find someone that is accurate and throws hard enough. You have to really focus from the pitchers hip because if you follow her motion the ball will really be on you.
The next best situation is to locate a double wheel softball pitching machine, these are the best machines because with two wheels they never throw the same pitch in the strike zone, it's constantly moving. But not so much that's it's hitting you.
Now here's the real tip how to quicken that swing. Have a shoulder width or a little wider stance. Keep your weight back at contact. Rest the bat just on the edge of your shoulder. Just swing from that position, don't go back with the bat or wind up It's like throwing the bat at the ball. No stride just pivot and rotate those hips. This is where girl's are very strong, the legs and hips.
This is very important, have the feeder hide the ball behind the two wheels of the machine. Once you are set and ready to hit, the feeder drops the ball into the shoot. When you take the arm motion out and just drop the ball in the shoot, the hitter has to see the ball first and then react, you can't cheat the machine and that's where hitters get into trouble, they time the machines when arm motion is used. The other way with no arm motion is very close to hitting in a game. I hope this helps.

The best way is to have a pitcher pitch to you. I played fastpitch until I graduated from college and the batting cages never helped me. One of the things you need to do is time the pitchers release and I could never do that in a cage.

Go to a batting cage and use baseballs in a fast pitch softball machine. That way, you recognize the low release point and work on hitting balls on the sweet spot. Then when you face softballs, it'll be like hitting a beach ball.

The only way is to get a good pitcher to pitch it to you. Batting cages aren't the same. I challenged this girl that I could hit her fast pitch softball pitch and it didn't turn out to well. Even after the cages. The movement is so strange it glides up.

Yeah, a batting cage or have a really good pitcher
toss you a few and see how you do.
That's what my dad did for us and we got really good,
but MAN!
they hurt like hell when they hit us!
He still doesn't know he broke my sister's finger with one of his fastballs!!!!!
Better her than me! : )

the best way is to go to batting cages.most of them will have a booth for softball-fast and slow pitch- if not, you can take regular baseball pitches(70-90mph). this will help you get your timing right

why dont you not worry so much, because hitting a softball is not rocket science. just keep your eye on the ball and have good fundamentals when you swing.
