Glad I went out, worked hard, started my own business, provided health care for my employees and all on a HS education. And your claims are only partially true. There is a program that the Federal Government provides money to the states to fund health care for families of these working poor. Several states are using this as an issue to try to get more $ from the Feds and be a hero to their citizens by using it to offer Universal Health Care in their states. Also, there are free health clinics, City and County Health Departments and no hospital can turn away a patient based on their ability to pay. Here is Washington State a single mom can get covered through the State Health Pool for about $99/month and a family of five costs about $135/month.
There is no right to guaranteed health care. The reason costs have already shot through the roof is from Government regulation and oversight. Do you think it will get better if they take over the whole thing? Then what? You are putting your medical records in the hands of the Federal Government to do with whatever they like. Ever read 1984?

Here's the real Question.
Do you really trust any politician with all that money?
Make healthcare insurance and treatment tax deductable,100%,more employers would offer group insurance.
Workers would get their money back.
Government pays but has no control of the money.
Look at the mess government made out of Social Security.
Give a politician $10.00,he'll spend $20.00 and bill you for the rest.

not at all and that i did not vote for him because I do in simple terms not like the route that he needs to take the country socialism would not artwork and that is what the founding fathers were attempting to get remote from. at the same time as Bush became president unemployment became at an all time low and the inventory marketplace at an all time intense and organizations were thriving. It became the wars that were making him so unpopular human beings wanted out they were drained of it. In 2007 at the same time as the Democrats took over each thing went down hill and remains taking position hill no longer some thing is searching up. i'd pick to make sure Obama do an excellent job yet so a recommendations that has no longer got here about. No it really is not any longer out of spite in any respect. What i'd pick to make sure him do is decrease taxes and spending and benefit this a lot extra listening truly than speaking. i'd pick to make sure him depart wellbeing care on my own because in doing what he's doing with it leads to socialism. drugs is a fine looking thanks to get a foot interior the door to socialism. Abortion is yet another thorn interior the area. Killing toddlers is stupid yet the following we are trying to save the lives of those who pick to shelter our freedom and are prepared to die for our freedom and theirs. i imagine Bush became heading in the right route there and Obama is on the incorrect song no longer in effortless words there yet all round. we've had 2 terrorist assaults on our own soil because Obama grew to develop into president. nicely i imagine i have said sufficient. i ought to say extra yet i am going to depart it at that.

TO CELTIC PIX: Your answer is spot on. Thank you very much.
And to every person whose rote response is: Get a better education, better job, etc.: Whether you know it or not, whether you see it or not, whether you acknowledge it or not, there are millions of Americans working TWO jobs, working their BUTTS off, supporting families, NOT breaking the law, being GOOD members of society, and their JOBS do not offer any benefits whatsoever. Your comments are ill-informed and hard against your brothers and sisters.
And to the people talking about "cable and plasma tvs" and crap like that, that's just lame. You've been brainwashed into thinking people who are actually the WORKING POOR are all trash.
They are not.
And to the people who say "Care is available?"
How would you know? Because rush said so?

Many have never had health care. I never had any while growing up. The costs weren't out of sight like they are now. This constant drip of everyone needing to have health care started back when Hillary tried to put that debacle of a plan on the people of the good old USA. Now we have escalating prices probably due to insurance and threats of price controls plus the businesses are rapidly dumping employee coverage because of this huge surge in cost.
Thanks Hillary for bringing this mess on us. It will only get worse, especially if it goes universal.

Not every job comes packed with benefits and glory, however we need people to due them. An unskilled worker plays an essential role in our society, and are no less hard working than the rest of us. They should be able to access affordable heath care. They should also be respected for going out and working, it would be much easier to sit within the welfare system, have health care and not have to work. We reward the lazy and punish the working poor in this nation.
The system is obscene.

I've asked a similar question, Conservatives apparently don't realize that there will always have to be people doing the "little" lower paying jobs or the economy would fall apart. They think that the people like grocery cashiers, stockers, baggers, dishwashers, waitresses, janitors etc. are a lower form of life who do not deserve access to healthcare. But I can guarantee they would be they first to complain if there was nobody to serve their Starbuck's mocha latte in the morning, wash their Mercedes or clean their barf off of a night club floor!. They are hypocrites!
EDIT: These answers are amazing, guess what?, the working poor don't have SUV's, big screen TV's and cable. And even if they did forego these items they still wouldn't be able to afford insurance. Some say go to the ER, you won't get turned away, but who pays the bill then? Guess what you idiots?, TAXPAYERS DO! These are the kind of people who would love to euthanize the mentally and physically disabled, would spit on a homeless person and thinks a family who is on welfare because the they lost everything in a disaster are lazy. They would be the FIRST to demand help if they fell on hard times.
EDIT: I would rather have my taxes go to social aid then to this ridiculous war that is sucking every last dollar out of the United States. Infact, people always say Liberals are UnAmerican, but, Conservatives are really the ones that are UnAmerican, they would rather have jobs outsourced to other countries and have our tax money doled out on foreign aid instead of helping fellow Americans. BTW, alot of people on welfare are MILITARY VETERANS, see how conservatives treat our war heroes? And don't bother telling me I am wrong, I am a homecare nurse who sees them everyday!!!!

The cost of insurance I was offered for full family coverage was nearly $1000 a month. That included a $1500 deductible for each person. How can the average American afford to pay nearly $12,000 a year for health coverage??? That is more than many pay on their homes. The cost of health coverage is out of control. We need some change.

Cry me a river. Get a job that offers some sort of health insurance! Get a flipping education. There are companies out there that offer health insurance of some kind. There's no excuse. This is just another sad, Liberal attempt to have the REAL hard working Americans foot the bill for the dead beats. I had to take my son to the emergency room the other night. There were several families there that couldn't afford payments, and had NO INSURANCE, but were treated anyway! Give us a break!

Millions of hardworking Americans would rather have family cell phone plans, digital cable, big screen tv's, SUV's and lots of other gagets rather than be responsible and pay for their healthcare. Please spare me the libspeak straight out of the AlGore playbook.
