Ok, i am doing a class project on the myth of Atlantis. I have had much difficulty finding good information on it, so i will ask you guys. NOTE THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE VACATION SPOT ATLANTIS!
ok, here are the questions
What was Atlantis?
Where was it located
What was life like (culture, people, etc.)
How did the story originate?
What happend to atlantis
Whats YOUR position on Atlantis
and if you would, please offer 4 pieces of evidence to support your claims.
You don't have to answer all of the questions, if you could that would be great. If you aren't going to, just chime in on certain ones that you know enough info about. Web sources would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks again!

People should not have to do your homework for you. Look up it on the web. There is a lot of good information out there about it. Actually try doing something for yourself for a change.

The Earth story comes from Solon. An Egyptian scholar or priest. Who told it to Plato, and he wrote it down. Atlantis was just a small place at the time Solon's information was learned. An island city surrounded by perimeters of water. It fell into the sea in one night after an Earth cataclsym of some sort.
Ruth Montgomerey's book, "The World Before". Supposedly written through automatic writing. Says Atlantis was a Great Empire. That at some point wanted to rule the world. Which brought about thier downfall.
I have read so much channeling. Alleged telepathic communication from higher intelligences. That I cannot tell you where I learned what. And I have been given insight by the Holy Spirit regarding Bible references to the Atlanteans.
An alien race brought a Giant Crystal to Atlantis. It harnessed the Earth forces. Magnetism, radio waves, and such. Which gave them flying machines. That is what the ancient airport on the Nazca Plains of Peru is.
They used the crystal for war and it backfired, blowing the major part of Atlantis up! Read Ezekiel 1:22, "The Terrible Crystal." KJV.
The Crystal is under the bottomsoil in the Bermuda Triangle, where a vortex, spiral of energy exists. Edgar Cayce said Atlantis would rise in a certain year near Bimini. And they discovered underwater stonework like a road in that year, at that spot.
The Atlanteans mingled internationally and extraterrestrially. But the Red race was the dominant race. The Chittim mentioned in the Bible, and who lived in historical Northern Africa, are the descendants of the Atlanteans. Just as the Basques in Spain today. The United States, land of the Red peoples today. Is the Chittim mentioned in the book of Daniel, that will attack the Middle East in our Time. Look up chittimwood in the dictionary. It's a type of American wood!

Our first record of Atlantis comes from the work by the ancient writer Plato. It's thought by most arcaheologists that he wasn't actually talking about a real place, but using it as a metaphor of the great and wonderful city that will still pass out of existance - so, no matter how great you are, your end will come. Still, a lot of people wonder if he might not have been basing it on even earlier stories. I think it would be great to think that were the case. After all, a lot of people used to believe that Troy was made up by the ancient writer Homer, but then a German archaeologist called Heinrich Schliemann dug it up! I'm a uni student studying archaeology myself, so I kind of always feel hopeful that one day we might really find evidence that there was a great city called Atlantis.
According to Plato, Altantis was a great power that conquered most of the known world at the time, and was full of great people.

personally, I believe if Atlantis did exist, it would be near present day Santorni, or Thera in olden times.
Since Atlantis was either destoryed by fire or water, fire works 'cuz Thera was sunn by a volcano.
Black, white and red pebbles can be seen on the coast and on Crete too liek Plato descirbed.
But some researchers don't think its true because the dates are wrong - a thousand years off. I think it was just misprint. Whomever recorded the dates added an extra number which throws everyone off - this is also another theory.

Atlantis being favored by the gods was once a very prosperous island. it was the center for merchants and livelihood. people there were so innovative.
there came a time that their knowledge on advanced technology reached its peak and all the townspeople got so addicted in inventing new things. they followed their vision of building a structure underground. at first they got successful but when the people gone proud and stopped worshiping the gods, there started their doom.
gods were so upset that they sent tidal waves and tsunamis to sink the whole island. and that's what happened based from the books I've read. and in the discovery channel as i recall, the divers shown some rocks they got under the sea near Cyprus-believed to be from Atlantis.

Atlantis was a city that sank. I don't remember where it was only that it was on the western edge of Europe. Life was very spiritual, not materialistic like we are today. People could move things with their mind. People were one with the earth. They generated thier powers with the power line created by the pyramids in Egypt, and Mexico and thier own. It sank when the plates in the earth moved as the Americas and Europe moved farther apart. Sorry, its been a few years since I did this report in highschool. Good luck.

All stories emanate from some kind of reality or else how else would we have any inclination about them. For something to exist it begins with the mind and whoever thought up or invented Atlantis had some knowledge of its existence at some point in time. Carry on studying and look at it from all angles, but in the end does it really matter if it existed or not?

I consider shelly different than on the final section in the experience that your sister is attempting to flirt, we've quite a few adult men that love meting out compliments. Bahamian adult men say promptly forward what they propose and ask, confirm your sister is familiar with to no longer come searching for love nonetheless.
