Cute name...
Most people look at babies, because they want to see if they are ugly or cute... Others look because they are envious, some are just curious as to the fuss everyone else is making over a spitting up, eating and pooping machine. It depends on the person. Some like them, some don't...
Curiosity and the human need to judge and catagorize makes us do all sorts of strange things without even realizing why. Hence the attraction with places like Rotten.com and U-Tube.

Yes, I think you're right: the attraction to babies (more common in women than men, but it affects everyone) is, along with sexual attraction to the opposite sex, a built-in instinct that drives the survival of the species.

Ive never been into babies. I find most of them ugly, and they usually have a snotty nose that makes me hard to even look at, let alone coo.
I dont mean to sound nasty, just making my point that not ALL women like to look at babies.
So what does that say about me and my brain???

Not all women do like to look at babies. I wasn't and still am not interested in babies unless they are related to me. Of course, I was very interested in my own. Still am.

well i´ll tell you secret asian man that i am a woman and never gave a damn about looking at babies. but what i think is that they imagine that it were their child, and feel a motherly instinct, but not exactly survival mechanism.
