Even lint rollers aren't doing the job.

If you have a dryer, toss it in there for about 5 or 10 minutes.
No dryer, or thats not an option. Get a lint brush and get a lint roller.
Lint brushes only go one way, if you run them the other way, you get tons of lint, you run it the right way, and most will come up.
Lint rollers work good, just be sure to continuously change the tape. Also, in a pinch, get some masking tape wrapped sticky side out around your hand, and go over it to detail it if need be.
Now, if you have a wool coat, tossing it in the dryer and maybe a lint brush will be about your only option. Lint rollers and tape wont help much.

all of the suggestions for removing lint look good-here are a few for trying to prvent it:
don't wear a scarf--most add lint (lots!) to the coat
try running a fabric softener sheet on it occasionally-reduces static and the "magnet" effect of the coat attracting so much lint

Lint roller. They promote them on the grocery or drug shops, even the dollar save. in case you cant get to the save, in simple terms take slightly of duct tape or overlaying tape to get the lint and airborne dirt and mud off the coat. you could also purchase a lint brush, which brushes lint off, as adverse to easily pulling it off with tape.

use lint rollers and when it gets really bad go to the cleaners.

Buy a camel colored coat! I have the same problem with black and navy colored wool coats...

you can velcro it off. take a piece, and dab it on the coat. or a piece of medium adhesive tape.
