But I do know that in order to obtain the respect/acknowledgment from the "higher ups" and your peers that you must look the part.

Hmmm... well i would say personality. But in my case, since my hairstyle needs to be neat and tidy its donned in a straight businesslike way because of my work. (I'm in med school) . Or else would've definitely liked the wild ruffled loud haircut! :D

Personality at least..I have hair down to my butt..haven't cut it in nearly 6 years except a few trims here and there..
