Ok half these ppl are wrong. Im 15, and i just got back from the doc. today (Feb 27 07) because i normally have my period for 4-5 days some ppl are like that, and its normal...but all of a sudden i have my period from the 7th of this month, until yesterday, so i went to see a doc. and my doc. said it could be a number of things, like i missed an ovulating cycle and it made my period get messed up and make me go longer than i normally would, or if u miss an ovulating cycle you could miss your period all together, or you could go a couple days then a week or so later or a couple days later u start then u stop again. But if you ARE sexually active it could be from HPV or Cervical cancer, or a STD (which im not sexually active so my doc. ruled out those things) and If you are sexually active hun i'd get a pregnancy test. but you have to wait a couple weeks after you had sex b4 u can take the test, (even tho some preg. tests say u can take it the next day or whatever its better to wait a couple weeks to be more positive) if you are pregnant you have to go 2 ur doc. but if you arent preg. then just wait till your next period if it is still messing up, go see a doc. its a lil embarrassing, it was awkward for me today, but its better if you talk to a doc.
My doc. told me that i should start birth control if my periods tend to keep being this way, and i dont have anything wrong with me because birth control will make my periods more regular and control my hormones. but you are still 14 your still adjusting so take a preg. test, if your not preg, just wait for your next couple periods and if its still all messed up, go see ur doc.

Nothing is wrong with you. No two people are the same and someof us just do not have a period on time or even every month. Stress, hormone imbalance, weight loss or weight gain...If you do not have a period next month give your doctor a call ...
BTW: if you are as young as your question would make you seem it could very well be that your cycles have not settled in quite yet and that is perfectly normal. Do you have a health teacher or a nurse at school you can talk too? Try that...

Three simple possibilities, although there could be others. (1) Some women, particularly in the teens, do not have regular periods. Skipping one or two monthis is normal. (2) Your weight could be 'way too low, as in anorexia. (3) You could be pregnant. If (3) is a possibility, get and use a drugstore pregnancy test. If (2) and (3) do not apply, and you don't have a medical condition, wait for another month, and if you miss another period then, see a doctor.

Probably one of the following:
1. You are male.
2. You have not yet reached menarche
3. You are post menopausal
4. You have had a hysterectomy
5. You are pregnant.
6. You're taking hormonal medication that prevents it.
7. Some other medical problem

If you know you are not pregnant it might just be stress or recent illness. I could be many things or nothing. I would not worry about it unless you miss another period. Then you should see a doctor.

you probably just skipped a cycle which is normal. If you didn't have unprotected sex, don't worry about it. Just wait until your next cycle, if still missing, you should go see a doctor.
