Well, personally I do not feel that he is either a prophet or a messenger. I think he is a person running for office why try to make him into a prophet or godling?
I also do not ever recall hearing him "claim" to be a prophet of god, mohammed or anything else.
America's founding fathers saw fit (rightly so) to create a division of church (any kind) and state so the question strikes me as moot.

prophet of god - no. he is a politician. he is not trying to be a prophet of god.
however he may be uniquely qualified to lead our nation into PEACE, not war. his background of both muslim and christian religion may help us to find a PEACFUL resolution to the wars. no true prophet of god would lead anyone INTO war. because war betrays the most important tennat of all religions - which can be found in any major religion phrased as "and it harm none so mote it be" or "do unto others as you would have done unto you" or one of the various other ways to say - treat others how you want ot be treated - and waging war against them and killing them - is not how you want them to treat us is it????
