Your right, nobody can hold a candle to the original Rat Pack. Who is George Clooney supposed to represent? As far as I know, there were no gay Rat Pack members. Dean Martin was the coolest performer and man on the planet. Frank was the smoothest singer and great actor and a Iconic personality. Sammy Davis was the most talented person ever to take a stage. This new Rat Pack is nothing. Enlarged egos is right!!

They don't call themselves that the media does. People need to stop taking media spin as fact. As a matter of fact, in this case, the reason why comparisons were made is because they remade a Rat Pack movie (Ocean's Eleven), so to promote the movie the distributor began making comparisons to the original. There is no record of any of them ever comparing or calling themselves the new Rat Pack.

I don't think they do; I think that was a label coined by the media simply because they appeared in a remake of a film originally acted in by the original "rat pack."

Well, what can you say, they are considered celebrities by millions of people across the world. When you have that strong following, your ego tends to go way over the top as if you are better than the average person. I say let them do as they please as long as they don't interact with me: including telling me how to live my life, what to wear, eat, etc.
