Why are so many female movie stars anorexic and scrawny? Why do Hollywood producers think these women are attractive? Don't they know that real men want real women, not anorexic chicks who are bony, ugly and look like 12 year old boys in dresses? Why don't the movie studios cast more women who look like real women, instead of scarecrows?

io3072 - for your information, I like my women full figured and healty (what you would call "fat"). I do not find skinny women attractive, since many of them look like little boys.
Of all the women on the Oscars Sunday night, the only ones I'd consider dating would be Jennifer Hudson and MAYBE Beyonce (if she put on a few pounds) the rest looked like little boys in their mother's evening gowns - no curves, no shape, no feminity!!!

I know it's redlculous and it's not a good message to young girls growing up in our society today. To be beautiful you don't have to be a size zero, beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and that should be acknowledged, even in hollywood. It drives me crazy.

first-most actresses are not anerexic in fact most are much healthier than the average person.
second-beauty is in the eye of the beholder and lots of men prefer skinny and/or fit women.
third-you are basically saying if she's not fat, she's not a real woman, I find that insulting, I'm skinny and men hit on me all the time, are you saying all those men are wrong and I don't exist?you really just insulted me.
fourth-just because a woman is skinny does not mean she looks like a 12 year old boy:Winona Ryder, Natelie Portman, Christina Agularia, Michelle Pfiefer, Nicole Kidman, all are skinny all have have some curves none look like little boys
fifth-they do cast "real" women, but everyone has a differant standard of beauty, and slim women are real women too.
you people won't be happy until the the whole world is obese, has lots of celulite, never shaves, is full of countless flaws(even hollywood actresses have some), and there is a single fit and beautiful person in the world

I'm a size 0, but I'm also 5'3"; you people talk as if that means I'm anerexic, and I'm not. I love my body and I do have breasts and a butt, 0 dosen't mean skelital.
Marilyn Monroe, who is famously curvy was (based on the IMDB and her Playboy datasheet) was a modern day size 4 and was 5'5 1/2", perfectly healthy, in fact except for breast size she was very similar to the famous waif Kate Moss who is only half an inch taller then Marilyn, if M were alive and still long today you would probably think she was anerexic!!!!
If you like fat chicks, fine!! But don't impose your beliefs on other people.

Along time ago the women had to watch their figure to get the part I would say it still stands today It's all part of the job If their don't keep their weight in tack they don't have a job And they also have to do what it takes to look young It's all apart of the job That's Hollywood They want attractive woman to play the part and they want them at there best That makes them more money and more value able in Hollywood and the movies It's their lively hood

They get bigger when they're not doing a film then when an offer comes up they get into exercising real fast and their bodies are thrown out of whack and they lose weight really fast.
Your body loses a lot of weight when you first start an aerobics program but it eventually levels off. That's what happened to Keira Knightley when she did Pirates. Plus a lot of actresses eat a almost strictly vegan diet very little if any meat usually fish.

I think Posh Beckham will win. Recently I saw a picture of her in a magazine and from the side you could hardly see her!!!

i don't know if it's fair to call them anorexic, but the fact is no woman is ever completely happy with their body, that combined with the competition and pressure they are put under can lead to anorexia. Angelina Jolie isn't anorexic. or Salma Hayek. or Hilary Swank.

becuase they have to be "perfect for hollywood" like models they have to be real skinny and the agencies will tell them if their fat and their not their skinny so they turn to what they know to be skinny
