Depends on the part of world I am showing myself to.

Some people don't appreciate honesty, some people don't appreciate joy or happiness, some people don't appreciate anything... "Don't cast your pearls before swine..." You know?

It helps to first know yourself and who you are apart from everyone and any influence... Once you have mastered yourself and know yourself. You can pretty much figure out everyone else's problem. Plain and simple... people don't realize how very obvious they are. Especially when they are trying not to be so obvious...

I show a person their own reflection right back at them, especially if I don't know them. That way, if they hate or have a problem with me... it's only because they hate and or have a problem with themselves. Not my problem, not my guilt...

Those close to me, know me... The rest of you, don't really matter all that much and I am not above doing whatever it takes to maintain my own peace of mind and happiness... Especially if you don't approve!

Though I'm a "what you see is what you get" kind of person, I do filter my behavior based on sitations. I am direct and honest with my opinions when appropriate, but only when the situation allows and warrants. I think that there are times in life when I need to hold back my true feelings (like you mentioned, on bad days or when I'm trying to support other people and not be overwhelmed by my own issues) and be the best person I can be to fill whatever role I'm in. As a teacher, it is incumbent upon me to be in control of situations. This requires a great deal of performance, but who really knows, other than me? I also serve as a Union representative for my teachers. I must represent them, not my own needs. In these cases, I put my own feelings aside and take care of the matters at hand.

It is only with my closest friends and loved ones whom I respect immensely that I can always be myself. Showing my strong side to others doesn't make me any less true to myself---quite the contrary. I do whatever it takes to make things right. :)

i will no longer be able to. i'd harm the undesirable international's eyes...... i'm the prism that breaks the easy, interprets it into many colorings, keeping apart and defining them. the rainbow is out of date. i'm no longer basically colorings. i'm colorings, and colorings, and shade would not even come close. stunning attempt, yet no cigar. so, here i'm, caught in the airborne dirt and dust with the the remainder of you kaqs, pretending to be brighter and yet duller than i'm... like a raven in a flock of parrots. Your colorings scream for the international to be certain. the international has to look heavily to glimpse the prism in my feathers, or maybe then you definately are uncertain in case you caught it. the international would desire to be certain my colorings in the event that they might yet look, yet its lots extra trouble-free and extra gentle to appreciate the user-friendly, screaming, obtrusive parrots. they denote and forget approximately concerning to the raven for lacking shade, for being black and colouress, no longer seeing what's powerful earlier their eyes.... the raven has extra shade than all of them.

Basically, I am a "what you see is what you get" type of guy. I do think, however, that there are times or situations when we all have to alter ourselves or hold back some. If I'm in a place I don't really want to be, I do my best to smile and get through it. We all have to play the game sometimes.

Doing such is very honorable. Unfortunately, current times don't allow for such and it endangers an individual to fall into excessive openness, leaving the person harmless against adversaries. We all have friends and enemies, and everyone should know how much You can give to everyone and to each one. No one can simply have the same relationship to everybody, doing such would probably turn all of us into amoebas! ;-)
