It needs to be defeated. When you censor words you censor ideas and expression. This is facism and oppression in it's purest sense because ideas are absolutely fundamental to our human identity and need an arena for expression so we can distinguish the good ideas from the bad ideas.

Whatever happened to freedom of speech?
Simple. Prude assholes walk around feeling an incredible sense of self-righteousness, and feel uncomfortable when someone says a word that they have been conditioned to not like.
I say, who gives a **** what they think? (even Yahoo censors these posts)
If this is all a measure to "protect children", perhaps these parents should do some better parenting. They wouldn't let their child wander around the projects at night, or let them cross the highway. If swearing is a goddamned, ************* concern, then parents should keep them away from that. Remove all TV's in case an instance of impropriety happens to slip past your god-like censorship abilities. Take the radios out of the house. Literally stand behind your child as they are surfing the internet to make sure they don't start watching Dave Chappelle on YouTube.
Sound excessive? Even WITH all those things, you can only delay your child's learning of "curse words" by 1 year, maximum.
Freedom of speech is absolutely priceless. And I would not trade it for anything.
The following is a test of Yahoo's censoring.

I don't like censorship in general. It makes me upset that, even thought i wasn't a fan of the song, they had to change Black Eyed Peas' song "Don't funk with my heart" to "Don't mess with my heart"
I think that radio should be more like television, like at a certain point, like midnight or 1 am, you can say anything on the radio. Play uncensored songs. The only reason they can't do that is because TV's have V chips for inappropriate content, which radio doesn't have.

I think that the open airwaves should not be home to profanity during the hours when impressionable children are awake...after 10 pm - let it rip
There has to be a balance in my opinion and this is not balance, the adults technically suffer for the children and funny enough, so many parents curse at home in front of the children but then say they don't want these kids to watch certain movies or hear that language.
Of course there really are parents who just don't want to expose their children to such stuff and they are justified to a point but I see no issue concerning once the kids are SUPPOSED to be in bed.

In the US, you can't show nipples, genitals, buttocks, use profanity, or intimate intimacies on TV or radio. But you *can* display torture, murder, guns, and all sorts of brutality.
And yanks wonder why their culture is so screwed up.
In Canada and Europe, all the above acts are in reverse: nudity and words are allowed, and gratuitous violence is controlled. Guess which country has the death penalty and the highest rate of murder per capita?

Why do you think Stern left radio. Censorship. There are the seven words not to utter in a broadcast.
