Whirlpool tub.....?

I have a whirlpool tub in my bathroom and the filter STINKS. The valve that sucks the water through to push it out the jets....what can I do to get rid of this smell????

If the filter itself is clean,try filling the tub, pour in a cup of clorox ,turn on the pump for 20 mins. and see if that helps.
