no it's not a lot but you could possibly be considered well off (once you have worked many years on that salary and have a nice home, car, bank balance, etc).

It is a nice amount. It would be considered well off. But it's not so much that you can just go about buying indiscriminately. It seems that no matter how much you make, it is still easy to over spend. At least for me it is.

Compared to a janitor only making 20 or a teacher averaging 20-28,000 a year, that is definately a lot of $$$

again in real world location, location makes a difference.
there people out there who make that muck and are really broke one paycheck from homeless, so a number with out context is with out value.
100K in CA ,NY , TX, MT are different values.
average family survives on 36- 43,000 yr.
smart folks can be well off at 30K yr.
suggest you visit daveramsey.com to learn what colleges don't teach what bankers credit slave cards pray you never ever learn or worse apply.

It all depends on the lifestyle u lead. If they told Warren Buffett to live on $100K he would be in tough shape; the guy who has all his worldly possession in a shopping cart over near the highway overpass would love the $100K!

It depends on what you do for a living, and where you live. But for the most part, yes it is a lot of money. I sure wish I made that much!!

Personally I consider anyone from $50,000+ to be "well off."
Don't expect to get above $50K for quite some time if you're a new grad though.
