Ever notice that independent films are the only films that dont nessesarily come to a conclusion they tell a story just for the sake of telling a story, without an agenda? Do films that people can actually relate to scare the masses? Do we only want to be entertained by fantasy?

i totally know what you mean, and have recognised that myself. i believe that the "masses" may just want mere entertainment without having to think too much and if they are prepared to think it will be about a stereotypical serial killer or such like. i believe that people watch films in order to escape their lives for a short period of time, this is perhaps more easily accessed through blockbusters and not independant films.
