i have a 65 gallon. 3 angles, 1 alge eater, and about 4 of those feeders and i got the other day 6 little crabs and now i have found two of them dead. why is this happenning adn what to i give'em to eat.

They need to be able to crawl out of the water and prefer a little salt in the water.

do they have a way to get out of the water for a while, like a rock or something? if not that could be the reason, crabs like air sometimes to, and they eat krill, shrimp and crab food that they sell at the store

Maybe they just don't like being there. So, in the throws of their depression and longing for the open waters of their dreams, they cast their tiny exoskeletons off the tallest rock of your aquarium and end their life on the turquoise rocks below. Of course this is all at three in the morning when you are sound asleep...so you never see their dramatic exit from this mortal plane.

because the crabs need less water than the fish

They die because other spies feed on the crab or there is something poisonous in your water tank.

They need air!... this happened to me. They need to be able to "crab" out of the water.

You can feed them shrimp pellets, but I don't really know why they'd be dying.

they are cannibals. just allow the dead one to be eaten u perv
