The term "end of the world" cannot be defined as such.
What would it mean, extinction of us humans, extinction of all life, end of the planet earth, disappearance of the solar system, or shall the entire universe cease to exist......
First of all, humans, as much as any other specie on earth are exposed to nature forces since life started altogether. Catastrophic events such as major meteor impacts and large-scale volcanic eruptions are common and have driven life on earth several times to the verge of extinction in its troublesome history.
This hasn't anything to do with the current age of the earth. Actually, it is in its mid-age.
Early humans for example suffered 75,000 years ago the blast of an eruption of one of earth's super volcanoes, which darkened sunlight and caused temperatures to plunge dramatically. Without this major event that killed almost all humans, our historical advances toward today's date may have been different, thus higher.
There is no way that we humans will make an exception when it comes to survival of a global "doomsday", in which all life may be wiped out. No one can rule out such a catastrophic blow on our planet. But no one can state that it definitely will happen, either.

The sun is about 1/2 way through its life cycle, and it's been around for 4-5 billion years, so we won't exactly live to see it die out. We will be more likely to kill ourselves off through either pollution or nuclear holocaust. And if we survive that, we still have a good chance of getting hit by a meteor. A meteor just the size of a house was enough to destroy the dinosaus, and there is evidence of meteor strikes all over the globe--anywhere shocked quartz is found.

One day the earth will end. If for no other reason than the sun dies.
Whether humans will survive depends on many factors. But they all come down to the ability to colonize other planets.

Everything has is exact opposite in this universe, so yes, someday what began will end. Terra as a planet might die for many reasons, mankind will probably survive depending upon when this destruction would happen. If we have not perfected space travel and not located a suitable M class planet that is not already inhabited, then that chance does decrease.

It will end as we know it, but age has nothing to do with it. Man is doing a great job of polluting our air and water which we must have to survive. A nuclear war is where I would bet my money and yes their will be survivors but I not so sure I would want to be one of them. Because most will die a slow death from burns or radiation poisoning.

I like crossstitchkelly's answer except for this one part -- the meteor that created the Chicxulub impact crater (which may or may not have killed the dinosoars - probably not) was at least 6 MILES in diameter. I don't know about her house, but mine is much smaller than that.
Other than that she gave an excellent answer and I agree with her.

I believe the end of the word but i think human does not have any power to protectting or destroying the world because a very powerfull thing or person create this world so only this powerfull thing or person allow to deside about this world
This powerfull is GOD and human is very very very weak

Geologically speaking...there is no end to the world. I'm sure there is an end to our life and that's it
