First off, it used to be that "Liberal" was an epithet.
Apparently its not bad enough so you now have to
put the word "welfare" in front of it?
Personally, I don't buy the argument that if you
support the fight, you should be in it. Life is complex,
etc.
That doesn't mean I believe we should have gone there
to begin with. I certainly understand the dismay that
makes people make such leaps of logic - the old fat
cats of Washington who essentially have no risk are
sending people off to risk everything.
"Support the war effort" is an extremely general term
and in fact not the question asked in most polls.
You are yourself using extremely inflamatory language.

What have you personally done to SUPPORT the war or the troops? A magnetic Ribbon on the back of your truck does not count. Volunteer at a VA hospital, write to the troops in the field, send supplies. Another talk radio listener full of advice and no answers or action. You don't have to fight to support the war but you should man up and do something supportive before you stone everyone else.

Exactly!
I was at the VA the other day and the funny thing is there is talk of how the liberals are spinless creatures and there wasn't a single opossing thing said. We aren't for the war but we do what is asked of us to fight for America. This is my home and the land I love but if we don't do anything about the terrorists (like the liberals want) we're going to lose our homes and our country.
I'd much rather be a "chicken hawk" than a chicken sh1t!

First of all, where is your proof? Can you cite this from a source, preferably one that is academic?
As a member of a military family I can tell you that a number of people who serve do not support the war. Again, I would love to see the place in which you got your reenlistment numbers.
It is an all volunteer army. Hence why if you want to serve our country you sign up. Simple.
Please explain why the largest recruiting station in the country is on 125th St. in Harlem?
Also look at the current military recruitment ads, it is obviously slated toward minorities.

YES, everyone who supports the war is supposed to fight it.
And everyone who believes that we need to fight crime has to be a cop.
And everyone who thinks fires should be put out has to be a fireman.
And everyone who thinks the sick should be healed has to go to medical school.
Otherwise they are ALL hypocrites.
Don't you know that everyone who supports abortion on demand quits their jobs and works in an abortion clinic?
(sarcasm)

You guys need to get your arguments straight. First it is the "rich east coast elite" that oppose the war, then it is the "Hollywood crowd," and now it is the "dregs of society." Maybe it is everybody.
By the way, if you are going to call somebody a loser, at least learn to spell it.
