Ocasionally I get a vision disturbance that makes me see as if Im seeing through a kaleidoscope, or water, last time it was about a week ago. Then again today in the other eye. Sometimes this lasts for about an hour. When I close my eye I see a ring of light like crystal moving around my eye! Can anyone tell me what might be causing this??? I am currently on muscle relaxers due to back surgery, but this has happend before too. (before I was on any medication) I dont wear glasses and just had my eyes checked last year.

This could be a visual disturbance called "occular migranes". They are nothing to worry about and can come in conjunction with a headache or not. You said you had your eyes checked last year. It is time for another eye exam. Mention it to your doctor so he can make sure that is all it is

normally what time does it happen , or does it happen only when ur out in the sun or in front of the monitor for too long , but if it lasts for an hour than i don't think it would be adviseable to ignore it, am not sure whats causing it but i think i know what ur talking about. so check with an optician , he might advise u to use drops to relax and cool ur eyes.

Don't know, right off (not that I'm a doctor or anything!) How is your blood pressure? Could possibly be something neurological though. Please don't take chances with something as important as your eyesight -- see a doctor and get checked-out! It's always better to be "safe" than to be "sorry" that you didn't check something like that out and find a solution to the problem. I hope that things "clear up" for you soon! :-)
