It looks like a Leopard Gecko. They are pretty easily kept as pets and I believe they're the most popular Gecko in captivity. They can also become very tame. They will even eat from your hand if you work with them enough.

Here's a caresheet to get you started: http://www.leopardgecko.com/emcare.html

I am editing this to add that Leopard Geckos come in many different colors. I haven't seen one of that exact color so I could be wrong about the type of Gecko it is. It looks like one to me, though.

It's definitely not a leopard gecko. The tail structure is very different... This is some sort of banded gecko (they're North American, fat tails and leopards are from Africa and Asia).

Either way, it is an albino. Leopard geckos make very good pets, and albino ones (with lots of pink and yellow) are fairly cheap and pretty readily available.

I don't have a lot of experience with bandeds, but I think they stay smaller and don't tolerate handling as much.

The gecko looks like a banded from the desert southwest, Southern California or Arizona. They will eat small insects and I have caught them at night on sand dunes after a rain eating termites.. Leopard geckos are nice for a terrarium and do not need as much care as captive banded geckos.

it looks like an albino leopard gecko with a broken tail. Looking at the eye structure and the claws i'm going to say it's a highly albino leopard gecko. the coloration around the eyes also gets me thinking that since most leopard geckos have darkly colored eye "ridges".

albinos are a pinkish yes or more like a lavender with yellowish markings, that picture is from a reputable website and the address for the picture says it is a platinum gecko i would tend to believe them. but here is a picture that looks similar and it is labeled a blazing blizzard gecko.
