If you're going to be making a lot of money then bring your mother with you. Talk to her and figure out her side of the argument. It's hard to make a life changing decision if you don't know both ends of the spectrum.

I dont think you should let your mom stand in the way. If this is a goal that you really want to reach then you should try your best to reach it. I had a similiar problem when I was starting college. It was just me and my mom and she wanted for me to stay near but I couldnt stand her so I chose a college that was not too far... but far enough where I had to dorm. Its hard to say no if you love your mom but it might help her and you in the long run. During my college days, my mom found a bf who is now her husband and they leave me alone haha... I think for you to move for better pay will be beneficial for your financial needs as well as building experience... who knows? Maybe after you move you will come across an even better opprotunity and then you can show your prove to your mom that your choice was a great one. good luck!

keep this in mind: It doesn't matter where you live or how you make, the bills are going to coincide with the money. In others words - the more you make the more it takes to live. I would suggest to get in touch with others like yourself who have left and find out what they gave up and what they gained.
have you ever heard the grass is always greener on the other side? When you get to the other side you find it was actually greener on the other side. :) good luck life changes are hard and you should really carefully research before you make such a move.

It's always hard to leave mom and the familiar home, but to overcome
poverty and put a little comfort and pleasure in your life is asking
so little. Go for it, go out and seek your fortunes

You are a grown man. Your mother has no say in what you do anymore. Leave, and send her some money occasionally.
