I have found that it is rarely too late to fix things... maybe once in my life I've found that there was something done to me that couldn't be fixed and maybe once I did something that couldn't be undone... that's not bad for 50 years...

Well, it depends on the situation. You need to think about it and determine if it is worth going back or if it will just make the situation worse. Did you hurt peoples feelings? If so I would at least try to make it up to them.
