Hey im a young man who is trying to get better abs and obliques. Besides the typical crunches, what are some other workouts that work the abs and obliques really well. I have an entire gymfull of equipment at my disposal so equipment for working and doing certain excercises is not an issue.

Crunches are wonderful warmups. Leg raises are good too. You lay flat on the ground, arms perpendicular to your legs, and raise legs high in the air and lower them back down slowly. Do it all in a controlled motion(this will work lower abs). Also for obliques the best workout is to take a plate weight (or olympic weight), sit on your but and hold the weight in front of your chest with your knees bent and legs off the ground. Twist your body and try to do 15-20 with a 25-45 lb weight, depending on what you can do. You can get the plate weights from walmart. If you are in a gym membership, do those workouts, along with an ab machine. You will see the results.

use a pullup bar and do leg lifts. do not cheat by swinging or leaning back. and try to bring your knees to your chest while keeping your legs slightly bent. don't bend the knees to the chest, lift them by using your abs. same can be done for obliques, just lift your legs to the side.

get on an ab machine in which you can use weights with it, that will really get them toned well, and be sure you are working each side too and not just the front
