Why does Diego have much cooler stuff than Dora?

Dora has that stupid back pack (back pack ) with a map and a flashlight. Diego has a pack that turns into anything he needs. I saw him with a kyack yesterday! What up with that?!

Deigo is for children who are older where Dora is for the smaller children.
