I've gotten many things over the years: books, clothes, furniture, antiques, etc. You can find some really nice stuff if you look for it.

You bet. There's a great thrift store in my area. I've found designer stuff for like $20 (suits, blazers, Coach purses). I've gotten some of my favorite sweaters there, and even a little vanity seat for the landing on my second floor.
You just have to know what you're shopping for...and wash everything.

Oh yes I have found some really cool things in thrift stores. I don't always walk out with something, but I get excited when I do find something worth while

yes i have. thrift stores are my favorite places to shop. its like treasure hunting. i bought a christmas tree pin for 50 cents that turned out to be worth $700. i also bought a rhinestone bracelet for a $1 that i resold for $75 to an antique dealer. so it can be fun and profitable.

Wow - yes! I got my husband a pair of handmade, English-tailored dress pants at the one in Texarkana, Texas - for $1.50!!!! All of his dress clothes come from there. Arrow shirts for a buck, Ralph Lauren, major high-end name brands, all for a buck or two. Some still with tags!
