they can be like that yes... or if not trying to take your rmoney then trying to get your pants off in front of your girlfriend in the middle of Las Ramblas...
but don't let this stop you going to Barcelona - that would be a real shame...

Prostitutes are prostitutes, here in Spain they can be seen at any roundabout or on any main road from mid afternoon onwards, many are of African or Eastern European origin and get rounded up every so often by the police and carted off, many for explusion as they often don't have the correct papers to be here
