Top 3
1) Chris Capuano
2) Prince Fielder
3) J.J. Hardy
I think that Milwaukee is very underrated this year, and will compete for the Central division, and the Wild Card. They have a very strong pitching staff, but scoring runs is still the big question. If they get good production out of Hardy, Weeks, Fielder and Corey Hart, then they will surprise a lot of people this year. The Central is competitive this year, but not exactly strong.

The Brewers top players this season will be Chris Capuano, Rickie Weeks and Bill Hall.
Jeff Suppan will give the Brewers two things, veteran leadership among the pitching staff and lots of innings. I think he will probably have a record of 13-10/12-9. Assuming he starts approximately 35 times this year, the Crew will win about 18 or 19 of those games.
Looking at the NL Central, it is safe to assume that 93 to 95 wins will take the division (there are more divisional games played in the NL Central than any other division because there are six teams rather than five or four). If the Brewers can play well against their own division, they will be in good shape. One thing the Brewers have going for them is they have a very talented staff. If Capuano can continue last year's success, if Ben Sheets can stay healthy, if Dave Bush continues to progress and if Suppan is his regular old self, the Brewers could have 4 starters with 12 wins or more. If the Crew wins can get wins 55%-60% of the time those 4 start, they will be at or around 75-80 wins. That means they only need to win half of the starts of their 5th starter to be in contention for the Division and definitely for the Wild Card. I think the Brewers have a good shot at 88-90 wins this year if they get the same production out of their veterans as last year and their youth continue to progress.

First off, many 'experts' believe that the Brewers (and Indians) are primed for a breakout.
That said,
1: Ben Sheets SP
2: Prince Fielder 1B
3: Rickie Weeks 2B
3a: J.J. Hardy SS
Suppan will be fine and consistent. However, the pitcher that makes the biggest difference will be Ben Sheets. He will be healthy and be the pitcher he was in 2004, not 2005 or 2006. Fielder will improve and possibly be in the top ten for RBI in the N.L. Weeks and Hardy will bounce back from injuries and solidify the middle infield. As a team, they will win their weak division, but I do not expect them to get past the first round of the playoffs.

Personal Picks: Fielder, Capuano and Hall.
As for Suppan, I agree with a previous post that Soup will eat up innings and could be a 15 game winner. I'm just worried about the bullpen blowing saves. That 15 games could become 10 very easy, especially if DBow has another rough season.
I dont think it'll take 90 wins to take the lackluster NLC.. I peg the Brewers for 2nd, with 85 wins, sorry no wildcard.

OK ... here it goes.
1. The top three players should be Prince Fielder, Rickie Weeks and Bill Hall offensively.
2. I've never been a Suppan guy and I think he is a .500 pitcher at best. I would hope that Ben Sheets will stay healthy and I think Chris Capuano is primed for a big year.
3. They are my sleeper team in the Central. I think they can go 92-70 as long as Sheets is healthy, the closer role is established and the young guys continue to progress.

Prince Fielder
Ben Sheets
Geoff Jenkins
I would like to add that I give credit to the Brewers for creating "Retro Sundays", when they wear the classic uniforms the Brewers had from 1978-1993. "Retro Sundays", is a brilliant concept.

1) Prince Fielder, Geoff Jenkins, Kevin Mench
2) In no way. Jeff Suppan is overrated.
3) They'll be worse than last year.

They will suck as usual. Every year they promise "This is our year." Blah blah blah. I'm sick of it. They won't make the playoffs for the what is it, 24th consecutive year? Yeah Bill Hall and Prince Fielder are the answer.
