I know pre-med isn't an official major but more schools offer it than biomedical science. Does medical schools accept one over the other? Is the coursework similar?

Also, would being in fashion school effect my chances of getting into med school?

Since premed isn't a real major, it just means you'd have to pick a real major. It can be biomed.

Yes, med schools accept biomed over premed because one is nonexistent. They can't pick a "pre-med".

All pre-med means is that the college has a special program set up to make sure you fulfill most med schools prerequisite courses. You usually still have to pick your own major. They usually have counselors who actually know what they're talking about when advising you on getting into med schools. That's the benefit of picking a "pre-med" course of study. I'm just trying to pound it into you that it's not a major and that you can be a biomed major and still be in that "pre-med" program.

Med schools really don't care what major you are. As long as you have the prereqs, they consider you to have the background necessary to survive med school. A larger and larger percent of med students don't have degrees in the hard sciences.

Being in fashion school makes you different. As long as it doesn't drag down your grades, it makes you stand out more. That's a good thing.
