my laptop always display press f1 to load default or f10 to enter setup after entering setup and make changes and save the changes it will still show system configuration data read error

This is the BIOS or Basic Input Output System. Press F1 and load the defaults. Then your system should boot.
If not, you may need someone to take a look at the bios or at the system board. It could be a simple case of the motherboard battery being bad.

HP has a critical update available and you might want to try this. You have to go to HP website to look for it. My laptop did the same thing and this seemed to help. Good luck
