Do you get a free upgrade to Leopard when buying a new MacBook?

I have had my laptop stolen and need to buy a new MacBook. Should I wait for the new release of Leopard? Is it true that if you buy a new book within a month of release you get a free upgrade? Apple say 'spring' is the release date - when is 'spring'? Does anyone know? The problem is that i really need a laptop back ASAP.

nope......its coming out soon.....just wait until the day after it comes out and it will be on all the comps that apple sells

I still have not heard an actual release date. And NO you do not get as free upgrade.
