Thanks everyone I have been touched by all your answers.I am the Cad (look up the profile so you will see I am not right) so their was to be a punch line.I have spoken with binkie about this, and we have decided not to do one. It is really good to know their still alot of good caring people, about who will rally round when a stranger is down. Thank you all, even the rude answers.Well done .Now back to being the Cad..Taken from the best selling book Shocked by your kindness.By E Cad

Of course it's okay for a man to cry. Men feel things just the same as women. It's often said that a man shouldn't cry. If a man feels the need to cry, then cry. I see nothing wrong with men showing a sensitive side to their nature. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend and your dog.

It's ok if serious stuff happens to cause it. Your circumstances probably count. For example, a man's wife dies, NO ONE is going to critcize him for crying over that, right.
It's NOT ok when it's just over-emotial weepiness for no good reason, which women and children can do but not us.
With men it has be cause-an-effect. I cried when my fiance dumped my on the same day I found out I might have cancer, about 10 years back. No one would criticize that without looking bad themselves for doing it...

Of course, think we would be more worried if u didn't seem upset.
to lose ur family pet and also have ur best friend in hospital is obviously alot to take in at once. let it all out hun.x
often losing a pet is like losing a member of the family, u lose a big part of ur heart.
chin up and give ur friend support, sounds like he needs it. hope he's feeling better soon. sorry to hear about ur dog.
Cry all u like hun, no one will think any less of u, and anyone who does, is just cold hearted!

I think it is good that you ask this question. Alot of men think that they are weak if they do cry, but the real man does cry. Why should you ever be ashamed to show that you have a heart emotions are good when expressed the right way.

yes, it is alright for a man to cry, it shows that you are normal and have feeling too. and you are not the only man to cry, and really it is not to good to hold all those emotions in you need to let it out. I hope your friend is fine, and sorry that your dog died, but at least your dog is not suffering and is at a better place. and he will always be in your heart. take care.

Men should show strength sometimes tho there is strength in showing you care or have feelings. I noticed the female answers all say its ok for men to cry i think tho if there man was a real cry baby it would soon get on there nerves. I cried recently I picked up my daughter and held her for the first time but at least they were tears of joy

everyone cries sometimes, especially when going through a hard time. there is nothing wrong with a man crying its just a thing in society that people have developed: that a man crying is a bad thing. Most people probably disagree with that anyways. If you ask any man, they have most likely cried

Of course it is OK for a man to cry when he is upset (as in your case) by outside events and inner emotions. You shouldn't try to repress the urge to cry just to appear macho let it all out. You will feel a lot better for it.
