Someone I know feeds foxes in a small garden behind my fence they are illegally using this piece of garden and leave all used food containers in the garden is this an environmental health issue?

It's not illegal, but anti-social of them to leave their rubbish behind. If you're concerned about a possible health risk so close to your garden, contact your environmental Health Office, at your local Town Hall.

Yes it is an enviromental health issue as food containers will also attract rats and vermin. Contact your locan EH offices, their number should be available from your local council.

As much as I love foxes this isnt good for them or the local area.

In Canada it is illegal to feed wild animals especially in the national parks. You should go to your city's bylaws and see what it says. I don't think the foxes should be eating anything other than their food they should be hunting for. People food will clog up their system and they wouldn't be as healthy or even die.
