I need to be able to park my vehicle off the street, so I want to hire a co. to cut the curb in fornt of my house, and pour a concrete apron up to the sidewalk, then finish the job myself with pavers beyond the sidewalk.
Would love to have an idea what someone thinks this *might* cost. Just a one vehicle wide opening.
I am in W Central Florida.
Just looking for a very rough estimate.
thx

first check to see that you can do this...without knowing how far it is to your sidewalk from the curb , im going to guess 6-8 ft...then if your going to be driving over it i would tear out two blocks of the walk you are going to be driving over and pour them 6 in thick when you pour the apron. so cut and jack hammer curb , remove sod and grade for apron , remove 2 blocks of walk. form and pour , strip and backfill...off the top of my head 1200-1500 bucks

I'd figure about $150/cubic yard for the concrete (form & place, including cost of concrete) plus another $300-$500 to cut the curb. You also need to check with local agencies about cutting the curb, some places won't let you just cut one out without prior approval (and fees).
