Ya know, as an older person, I don't get peeved at all the kids asking all sorts of questions about anything.

Teaching others what they don't know is a joy.

PS: I have been around computers almost since their inception,
I still remember getting an external tape drive for Commodore before floppy disks were around. I do my own programming in several languages and a have a consulting business designing databases and spreadsheets and specialized forms.

Us people over 50 can teach you some things if you just listen. . .

No old people do not bother me about anything. maybe you should start asking them some questions about how they lived in the past without some of the things we have today. like power running water, the depression, cause someday we ARE going to be doing the same thing and most people now days will never survive that. I have learned so much from the elderly and i thank God for all those that I have ever met and had the privalage to work with. I have knowledge of survival and I will survive. So next time you start to complain about the elderly you might want to stop and think about all you could of learned from them as they are learning from you!

Do "some" younger people anger us with their lack of knowing history of how they got the "rights" they have, lack of morals, lack of respect, how some expect things just handed to them by mommy/daddy without having to Work for it....how they take for granted what is given to them.....not all, but a lot! Big deal we don't know all the Technical stuff, we can learn.

No not at all. Learning something new that you did not have for 20 years or more is hard go easy on them and help them out. You were probley taught at school how to use them you did not just walk up to a computer and know what to do

You just might want to learn how to write a proper sentence before you put "older people" down...And who do you think invented computers ? It was'nt a 15 year old girl !

No, because it is not from there generation. It is foreign to them. I am 32 and my Dad is 76 and he is just now getting a computer. I think it is fun to show him what to do. I like to see his eyes light up with amazement. It is fun to see him excited. He taught me things my whole life so it is neat to get to teach him something. Now my mom is another story we got to get her to stop trying to put the DVD in the player while it is still in the case....lol....she is learning....is hilarious though... :)

Yeah, I agree that it can be frustrating at times, but I just exercise a little patience & everything works out OK in the end.

No, they're just older, how are they supposed to know? They appreciate it when you help them with things like that, all it takes is a bit of patience.

It does not really bother me, but what does bother me is that the people who are bother get Thumbs down.
Personally, it seems that the "old" people have a grudge against people who don't like them. C'mon people, play nice.
