I am 35 weeks pregnant. I have always felt i was 2 weeks ahead of it. But anyways.. I've had braxton hicks every here and there in my stomache. Well last night @ 330 I had horrible horrible lower back pain, like in between the hip bones. It was the worst pain ever!! it came and went away from a couple minutes and came back again. It did this 3 times. And then i felt the sudden urge to go pee. I felt a lot of pressure in my stomache and it was very hard. i jsut layed back down and tried to go back to bed. I woke up @ 7 with the same pain and it went away. I feel like crap and dizzy.. What do you think is happening?

It sounds like pre-term labor to me... the feeling a lot of pressure in your stomach and being very hard is what a real contraction is like (stronger than BH and with pain). Soooo... I say... call the doctor's office... they'll want you to come in and get checked out, or maybe send you to labor and delivery to get checked. While 35 weeks isn't extremely early, it could still present some problems for the baby if he/she is born now. If the doctors have time before labor really sets in, they may be able to make things safer for the baby! If it's something else going on... I'd rather you were SAFE than sorry... please go call them and get checked!

Give them a call!!

Having to pee can bring contractions on... other things that can cause pain in that area include the bladder... so even if it's NOT preterm labor, it's a good idea to get checked out... the last thing you need in the end of your pregnancy is an uncontrolled bladder infection!

I couldn't say for sure since I've never experienced this but maybe you're feeling the baby drop down and it's head is engaging in your pelvis. That could explain the pressure and pain. You may also be in early labor with the back pain and tightening feeling in your stomach. Maybe you should call the doctor to explain they might want to evaluate you.
