Going to KK & KL..tips from locals or tourist who have been to both places. Where is the best place to go to change currency? And specific place? What's better to use...US Dollars? or Philippine Peso to get the best value? Thanks a bunch

Just bring peso. If you exchange USD in your country, you have to change again to ringgit malaysia. Although USD to ringgit might give better value, you still in loss when you have to buy the currencies twice (USD and Ringgit).
If you want better exchange value, just don't exchange it in airport or bank. Find money exchenger in city. They will give you better rate.

If you go to KL, don't forget to visit KLCC. The tallest bulding in South East Asia. You won't regret it.
If you go to KK, don't forget to visit Mount Kinabalu. The tallest mountain in South East Asia. You won't regret it too.

if you go to KL, just hang around in the city! you can find a lot of exciting things/foods in the city! oh yeah bring peso s indeed!!

i've been living in KK for like 5 years.. and theres a lot of places you could be visit! such as Karambunai. Karambunai have this beautiful and clean beach! if you go there you'll be dying to go back! and yeah Kundasang near Mount Kinabalu! you can climb the mount of course! the place is like 14 -17 celcius! so its so cool! you just have to go the market! theres two markets there.. one is of course for fishes, vegetables and everything and the other is for pearls!!!!!! the pearls are the best! =) you can also drive like 5/6 hours to Sandakan! the place of Orang Utan! =) i hope this help..

To change money.. the best is to change at the KLIA airport..
Better to u US dollar rather than Peso..

In KK

U may visit
- Mount Kinabalu
- Org Utan Santuary Sepilok
- Sipadan Island (lots of small island u may visit)
- visit the local tribes rumah panjang etc2.

In KL
depends on what u interested in

if u love shopping & site seing
- KLCC (petronas twin tower)
- Eye of Malaysia
- Petaling street (cheap replica stuff & CD & DVDs)
- Central Market (malaysian art & souveniour)

if u love Nature site
-bird santuary
-butterfly farm
-FRIM in kepong. (hanging walkway) its a natural rainforest
- Zoo Negara (our national zoo)

if u love history
-our national museum

happening place, bars & entertainment
-berjaya mall (indoor roller coster & stuff)
-bukit bintang street

Get get your many change mostly in shopping complex. just bring your USD, accepted worlwide.
