It depends on the Zoning requirements for the area that you are looking to build upon. Based on the minimum setback requirements where I live, you'd need a minimum of about 7500 sf (0.172 acres) depending on the configuration. We have 10' side setbacks and 25' front and rear setbacks. That would give you a buildable area of 55' x 50' or 2750 sf. That should suffice an 1892 sf home with a 2 car garage and meet those minimum setback requirements. Of course for a two-story you could put it on an even smaller lot. Makes for a small yard though, so if that's what you'd like it would work fine.

Check with the Planning and Zoning Department for you're municipality for their requirements and find an area zoned for the size of lot you'd like.

you could easily fit that on a 1/3 acre lot. i have 1/3 acre and have a 2300 square foot house on it. still have plenty of yard with a pool, pond large shed.

I'd say any where from 10 to 20. Depending on the size of yard that you want. Both front and back.
