You assume you have a hacker?

The simplest thing to do is download Zone Alarm which is a free firewall service. This blocks unwanted Internet traffic. An alternative would be to download the Yahoo tool bar which comes with an anti hacking (Norton) software as well.

Also ensure you have your Mac / Windows firewall turned on via control panel.

The only PERMANENT way to remove a hacker is to remove Windows, and install open source software instead, such as Kubuntu at www.kubuntu.org
There are temporary fixes, antivirus software will get rid of about 99% of hackers, but, since there are over 114,000 viruses that infect Microsoft exclusively, that means the 1% is still over 1000 viruses even with upto date antivirus software. I get people all the time, with Windows, and I tell them they have a virues. They say, well, I cant because I have Norton! That isnt true, I disinfect compters from viruses even tho they have antivirus software all the time.
