if you shave or wax doesnt matter which. You must make sure that you are shaving and waxing in the right direction. You must do it in the oppiste direction of which your hair grows and hair grows differently on people. Also, if you shave use a shaving cream designed for your skin type. This will also help and it will keep you from geeting razor burn as well. With waxing ( if you are doing it yourself and not at salon) you can buy products that help also with irration and easy removable of extra wax left on. Sally hanson or bikini zone products are good to use and cheap in cost.

Try using a good moisturizer immediately after shaving. Not all of us can afford to go get waxed all the time. I use Olay in shower body lotion. Not only does it work well on my bikini area, it makes ALL of my skin so very soft.

Personally, I use an electric razor and that works without giving razor burn or causing ingrown hairs. Another suggestion I would have is to try putting baby powder on the area after. I haven't tried this myself but i know a few people who use this method.

Try using a body scrub (similar to facial scrub) on the area - this helps to remove the dead skin cells which can prevent the hair coming through.

Keep the area shaved/waxed every day or often all year long, not just when bathing suit season comes.

i think that you should go and get a wax instead of shaving.
