8) Are there any personality traits that you have in common with your absent parent?
9) What are those traits? when answering this last qustion please take into consideration everything, some examples could be: sense of humor, special artistic ability, favorite foods, the way you eat your food, things that scare you, fears, likes, dislikes, etc. please name anything that you can think of no matter how small or silly it seems.

This is a poll trying to see if personality traits could be genetic as oposed to being learned.

we are absolutely the same...i would agree with the fact that personality is about genes!!!!!

9. Interest in literature, foreign language, writing, moving to new places, "detached and cool" personality until you know me well, intolerance of stupid or hick behavior.

I regained contact with my mother (who I did not remember) at 30, but the relationship only lasted for about 1 year, as it was unsatisfying for both of us -- she had a lot of guilt and wanted a daughter-mother relationship, and I mostly wanted to put the past to rest and move on.
