T-mobile dont do anything by letters or fax you have to speak to them.
From a landline 0845 412 5000
Go for the options that ask if you want to pay a bill (they will answer quicker because they always want cash)
Liquid ingress (water damage) can take a while to affect the phone's internal workings, so it may be a case of the phone would still have ended up as it is even if you didn't send it to them!
Sorry I cannot be of much more help!
Good luck.

I was with T-mobile for 6 yrs before switching to an area that was not supported by them. I don't think you were speaking with the right people, because whenever I ran into problems, I called their main number and asked to speak with the retention department (those people will do almost anything to keep you with them). I think your real problem was with that small T-mobile dealer you went to- obviously did not know the right numbers to call and didn't want to do the leg work. You need to call T-mobile yourself and report what all had happened to your phone, because the old battery replacement seems like something that dealer did - authorized dealers only do so much for their customers. Well, don't lose hope, I've called them up a couple times even at 3 am when I worked a midshift and there was always someone there to help me. Good luck!

Believe it or not, they are in the right as far as replacing the phone is concerned. Water damage is not covered by the warranty on ANY phone. It doesn't matter who the phone is with, water damage will not be covered by the warranty.
