Take a trip to Boulder ,Co and visit the Celestial Tea factory, for a free tour, free samples of teas, and a very interesting tour of the world renowned factory. The "mint" room is refreshing.
Light rail is relativley cheap, and there are many museums downtown where you can spend all day browsing for a very low price, with convenient coffee shops and the "16 St. Mall" shopping district is right there ,where you can pick up the light rail from downtown to go just about anywhere in the area.
The Park Meadows mall is accesible off the Arapahoe ,Dry Creek exits off the light rail which is a very huge mall with much to do.
If your close to Colorado Springs ,take a drive and spend a day driving up to Pike's Peak. It is cheap, and fun. The drive itself takes almost an hour and half ,It goes up to 14,100 ft. and there are scenic views at the top,a cheap train ride to view the sights, and a huge gift shop and coffee shop at the top also,to prove you made it up there . It is definately something to put on your to do list.
Take a drive up to Buffalo Bill's gravesite museum also, there is an excellant view from up there of the city of Denver. If you are lucky to might get to see some Elk Deer that might be roaming. You will know if they are out if you see cars stopped by the side of the road.
Once the weather clears up on west i-70,take a ride to the western corridor of the state ,visit Vail,Hot Springs,Grand Junction.,and go to "Hanging Lake",for a hike and beautiful sightseeing photo opportunities up there.
My daughter who is 22,spent a few days in Boulder and saw some theater productions there,it is a college town and she and her boyfriend thought it was quite amusing and interesting with many people her own age there.
Take a tour of the U.S. Air Force Academy ,near you,to start off your mini-tour of the area.
Have fun and enjoy Colorado!

There are a ton of great spots in Denver.

First to think about is the food. Denver has a ton of great restaurants and I personally love Sushi Sasa for Sushi, Capital Grill for Steak, and Potager for almost everything.

Then there are the activities. You can catch an Avalanche or Nuggets game this time of year and those are a blast.

For nightlife, Denver has a ton of clubs and bars in Lodo and the CPV for most any type of atmosphere.

Not sure and want to see what the locals want. Here are a couple links that have people vote on the best restaurants, clubs, happy hours, neighborhoods, etc. And the other link is to the Denver wiki site.

Good luck. Whatever you pick Denver is a blast.

if you are going to be in the Denver area, You should go shopping at the Cherry Creek Mall or the Flatirons Mall. They are both 2 stories high and are excellent places to go shopping!!!!!!!!!!!
