Already today I've seen some 'questions' from users who are asking about the assassination attempt on Vice President Cheney . Theses 'questions' are not really questions. .. .. they're more of a 'harboring place' where users answer indicating that they 'wished' the Taliban had succeeded.. . . and in direct relation to the inference in the 'question' .
I, for one, think that if you 'wish' for our Vice President or President to be killed.. . . . Then you've gone waaaa-aaay off the deep end !!!
I also believe that posting hatred like that, only shows a LACK of CLASS and ZERO PATRIOTISM !!!
So. . . . How much CLASS and PATRIOTISM do you have ??
I'm sure your answers will reveal the truth !!!!

Thank you. Disagreeing with Executive policy does not make that policy wrong. To talk of killing our leaders to end violence seems hypocritical to me.

Earnest T you know that any question asked on this section is an opportunity for people to parrot their ridiculous biased catchphrases. And no matter the context you use it if you put up the President's or the Veeps name up there it will be used to bash the administration. Its funny that you are shocked.
Anyway this is a good question. I just wish the Bush haters were intellectually honest enough to see how crazy they sound when spouting this hatred. If you are so far gone that you wish someone dead because you don't agree with them then you need to get a new hobby.

I, for one, did not elect the present admin, but I know what we stand for. 'Patriotism?', nah, that is a zero-class concept as far as I am concerned, which more often than not, leads to fanatical extremes; having said that, I don't believe this question implies that....
I have spent enough time in a democracy, to know who I have to defend at the end of the day - and that means defending what is mine: the freedom I elected to live in, the patience to see through what I do not agree with but what, in essence, still forms the way of life I chose.
Bush & Co. may have done several debatable things - but I stand up to be counted, because I know what is on the other side of the fence - I know, (as we all do, common!) why the farmer next door is eyeing my field 'cause he's made such a mess of his own land!

Look, I don't think anyone should wish for our Prez or V Prez to be killed or have an unfortunate accident. I beleive that people are fed up with thier policies and should be able to express those views. But I for one will not lower myself to wish them dead. That in my opinon is sooooo elimentary thats it's not funny at all. I do wish for them to get out of office as soon as thier time is up so that this country can once again get back to taking care of the homefront, health care, good jobs, min wages etc. But never, will I wish for our leaders, Prez, VP, Sen or Congressmen to be killed. Semper Fi.

It speaks volumes for Y!A when I can't even post a question about Saddam's hanging. The yahoo "people" deleted it before it was ever posted and they couldn't even tell me why. Yet these "peaceful" liberals can ask how to kill our President and Vice President?
There is only one person in this world I want wiped off the planet and that is Osama. The people that don't want Osama killed are the most unpatriotic people in the USA.

I don't know if I agree with you on the patriotism angle, but I can see why you make that point. I definitely agree with the lack of class. If there are people who are so disenchanted with the administration that they actually wish for an assassination to succeed I would say they are in definite need of professional help. Unfortunately it just illustrates the depths to which some have sunk in our society and is a telling indication of their character or lack thereof.

This is one of the main problems with the America today, no respect. Most of the people that are on here are adults some have children, if the exude this kind of hate & disrespect, then what are they teaching our future -the future of this country - the children?
Liberals rant & rave that no more lives need to lost do to this war but yet it is totally acceptable that our VP be killed by the same terrorist they refuse to admit exist & are the reason for this war.

Let me start by saying I am in no way a supporter of this Administration. That having been said, I agree it does cross the line to wish harm to the Vice President. He may be a turkey but he is our beloved turkey. We have legal ways of removing him and his bozo boss if that is our desire but murder or wishing murder upon them is not the way we do thing is this country.
Murdered public officials become martyrs. Is this what those who oppose him in the US want?
If, after they are out of office and tried for war crimes and found guilty than we would have no choice but none of that has happened and may not happen. So a sitting Vice President should be kept safe.
You can say that merely by going to Afghanistan/Pakistan that he is taking his chances. We have military to protect him but like it or not he is the Vice President and thus deserves a certain degree of protection and respect.
Rare it is, indeed, that I agree with a neocon but on this one I do have to agree.

I would assume that most of these people who posted such questions were only joking.. much like people would joke if the same had happened to Clinton (pick one)... it's still inappropriate.. but so are a lot of things we do in this world (again not making them right.. just common place). I would also assume that the people that are joking about it also haven't thought about what would happen if they WOULD have succeeded.. ... if they think we have been in a fuss the past 6 years or so I can only imagine how they would feel about the force and magnitude of the reaction the US government would take if a high ranking US official such as the VP were assassinated.

I agree with you. But Norm is a silly silly person who thinks that burning peoples´ britches will add an inch to his thesis. And he is probably right, because I fall for it everytime. But yes, any jerk who wishes death upon another living creature, is going off the deep end. They do show a lack of class, and zero patriotism. I have my opinions about EVERYTHING but they NEVER NEVER EVER wish death upon anybody else. Love and Respect.

I don't know who the idiots are that would say that, but that is very classless and is just as bad as the ******* that were making jokes about Anna Nicole the day she died. While I do not agree with Mr. Cheney's politics, only a soulless person would wish him to be dead. Something that people need to remember about politics is that the people involved are still human beings and the loss of any life is terrible. While we may disagree on their politics, the fact is they have families that love them and would be devestated if they died.
